Acid Washing - Remove Calcium Deposits and Stains from Pool Walls
You are here:  Home | Acid Washing

What is Acid Washing?
Acid washing is a process that removes the calcium deposits and other stains from the pool walls.  It is necessary periodically and when the pool has been left with dirty water in it for a period of time.  The water is pumped out, and the walls are scrubbed down with a diluted acid, then pressure washed, sometime the process needs to be repeated until the plaster is clean.

Acid Washing

Is acid washing necessary?

We generally acid wash a pool when it is discoloured or if there is a calcium buildup on the sides of the pool.  Calcium buildup on the pool walls is unsightly as well as causes problems with pool chemistry and costs  the pool owner more money in the future.

How much does it cost?

Acid washes are around $500.00.  This charge covers the large amount of acid that we use, our employees time, liability insurance as well as workmans compensation insurance.
